22/04/2012 - 4th IMCOAST workshop in Buenos Aires
From April 16 - 20, we held a workshop in Buenos Aires with more the 50 participants of all active groups and potential future collaborators. We were especially happy to welcome some wonderful invited speakers this time, i.e. Dr. Pablo Canziani (UCA, Argentina), Dr. Sharon Stammerjohn (Colorado University, USA) and Dr. Michael Meredith (BAS, UK), who complemented our view on the climatic changes along the Western Antarctic Peninsula.
The programme was intense with four days of presentations and one final day with group discussions within the workpackages. Cooperation between all people involved and among the different groups works very well and the development of models in already in progress.
